Smart Phones Connect Faster On 4G Networks The Blackberry, for example, has become so popular because there are services that offer quick and reliable connections to wireless Internet. If companies didn't develop a faster way to use the Internet, the Blackberry smart phone would just be another ordinary cell phone. It has outstanding features and ascetically pleasing, but the fact that you are able to connect to the Internet is what makes it special. I've found that using mine to listen to music or watch movies has made it worth the purchase. In the working world, more often than not you find yourself sitting on a train or waiting for your departure flight at the airport. Having something to help you pass the time can make all the difference in the world. Thanks to improvements in the speed and coverage of wireless internet, now seems like a great time to purchase a Blackberry. When I'm using my Blackberry, I do appreciate that I'm able to check my email and have access to all my office materials and business contacts whenever I need them. However, I like to have a little fun once in awhile with my Blackberry when connected the Internet. Thanks to 4G coverage, I'm able to download movies and television shows from my favorite websites. To use the Internet without interruption, there has to be a good connection to the Internet and it also has to be fast. If not, you are left watching bits and pieces of your show or streaming video then waiting for your app to finish downloading. Most cellular phones today, smart phones included, run on the 3G network for both voice and data access. 3G evolved from its predecessor 2G and used by practically all of the major providers. 3G can reach speeds of up to 3Mbit/s (megabits) but most users rarely connect at that bandwidth due to their remote location. 4G technology is the successor to 3G and will become the standard for cellular wireless moving forward. The technology is currently available in most major Metro markets, but is still being perfected. The goal is to reach "ultra-broadband" speeds which is in terms of gigabits per second. The current 4G technology on the market is gauged at three to four times faster than existing 3G. Wireless technology is changing almost every day, especially in the way that we are able to access the internet. Our society today depends heavily upon that access. We always want the newest gadget and the fastest connections. That's why teams of Engineers are constantly developing new methods of connectivity and new electronics for us to play with. It's important to stay abreast of the latest developments so that you always get your money's worth when purchasing new technology like a Blackberry, Samsung or LG smart phone for example. |
